Congratulations to Ed Dawson who won the Dec / Jan 2012 Regional final at the 149 Club in Ayrshire. Ed continued the excellent form of the Dawson family by improving on his 3rd place finish last time out. Ed reached heads up with 560k against Graeme Park’s 160k. the final hand seen KJ hold up against J9.
We reached heads up after a 3 way pot between Paul Campbell with 9 9 , Debbie Doyle with Q Q and Ed Dawson with K 10 seen Ed eliminate 2 players. It was an impressive performance from Debbie in her first final table visit that seen her finish 3rd. Paul Campbell the defending champion was very close to being the first back to back regional final winner. Paul was the highest finishing ‘bookie backed’ player for the 2nd event in a row with Cat taking home £62.50 after backing her man. Thomas Mccormick was unlucky to finish in 5th place, when his AQ was outdrawn by AJ. George Fergusson finished 6th making the money after a hard fought days poker.
Well Done to everyone who took part and a special mention to the 149 club who were excellent hosts and put on a buffet fit for a king.
